The York High Lady Falcons ended the season with a 1-0 win versus Grafton and came away with a 11-3-2 record.
Brooklyn Byrd (Sr.) said her most valued aspect as a senior on the team is, "The ability to be a listening ear for anyone on the team, no matter what, for these girls have allowed me to make so many friendships that I am so thankful for.” Jessica Schmidt (Sr.) said, “My expectation for senior night is to crush Grafton. Going into regionals as a senior is unreal. I have looked forward to this for many years and cannot wait to see how far we go.”
The team won 8-0 against Kecoughtan.
Brooklyn Byrd (forward), Alyssa Buludis (forward), Grace Cox (forward), Abigail Leyva (defense), and Jessica Schmidt (forward) were recognized on Senior Night, May 17th, for their commitment to the York Lady Falcons soccer team. Senior Night not only honors their skills and dedication to the team, but also their passion for the game. On senior night, the seniors shared their favorite quote, were walked out onto the pitch by their family members, and were given personalized posters and gift baskets made by the team.
The team won 7-0 against Hopewell.
